Cassiopeia & Orion's Belt

These were the first two patterns(to constellations) fully realized on the disc, after beginning this project--, and became justified after what was found as to the Pleiades star system depicted with twenty-four inlays.

Schedar(in Cassiopeia)was moved from its original position on the disc to accomodate placement of the W solstice band-- when it was added. The original "mold impression" for Schedar is not shown on the "Detail" map, and the maker(s) of the disc moved Schedar in such a fashion as not to detract from its(relative)position to the other stars in that constellation--, and Cassiopeia's pattern remains clearly visible.

Cassiopeia & Orion's Belt are depicted virtually as we see them today, and(along with the Pleiades)--, all three are simultaneously visible, stretched out across the sky on a Winters' night--, angled just as depicted on the disc.
