"Golden Rectangle"/"G.R.": Excerpt text
As stated in the "main" text on page 7a, the illustrations showing fully "implied" circles(derived from the arcs which make up the objects upon the disc), are just that; "implied". At the scale of which the "Detail" map was drawn, the dimensions shown are what I found.
"Implied" is certainly true as to: the "implied" exit terminator[arc]--(as after the "Relationships" detail was complete)--, it was only used to imply a specific dimension to place a golden rectangle around the sunship(or the sunship within one). The implied[arc]spoken of would not be needed for the sunship to exist within a golden rectangle--, with its baseline length at either[160mm]or[160.182mm].
.182mm translates to .007"(negligible). With a baseline of 160mm, the side to the rectangle would be 98.887mm. That's only .113mm difference--, or .004"(again negligible). In either case, with the W and E ends of the sunship as aligned [respectively to] the lower crescent moon and the center of the Sun: within a golden rectangle they are aligned to a very specific point being; the "end of" a ratio of 1, and the "beginning of" a ratio of .618 along a dimension line defined as[phi]to the side of a rectangle--, as shown in the "G.R.": Excerpt illustration. This was only a serendipitous find, realized long after the "Golden Rectangle" illustration was done, which began as artwork for myself, until that discovery, which is really the only find as to the mathematics of the objects on the disc--, which(in contrast to a statement I made in the "main" text), truly may only be coincidental. I have no doubt someone knew how to work with[pi], as shown in the "Relationships" detail. As far as phi(1.618)--, I do know that ratio is being studied today as related to gravity. Perhaps the maker(s) of the disc knew something about this that we today do not--, and perhaps not. Nonetheless, because of the "Golden Rectangle" and "G.R.": Excerpt illustrations; [they]certainly gave me pause to scrutinize the finds & thoughts forayed, that I decided to include them to this project.
Note: Though the "specific" point along the dimension line spoken of above is specific to the "G.R.": Excerpt illustration(with respect to the ends of the sunship and their alignments)--, that point is non-specific as to where it would appear on the disc with regards to the objects upon it.
